Brewster House – Cape Cod, MA

Reinterpreting an unusual Cape cottage built in the 1970s, the simple Gable structure is opened up towards a view to a nearby pond and forest, and the vertical connections between living spaces and loft areas are reinvigorated. A new garage / workshop area is added as a cedar slat covered light-box, maintaining local materiality in a mode of critical regionalism.
