Bushwick Charter School – Brooklyn, NY

The transformation of a former Catholic school into a K-8 charter school in an underserved area of Brooklyn. The project consists of a deep renovation to a building that was half developed in the 1920s and added to in the 1950s. Additions of an elevator, completely new plumbing, kitchen and bathrooms, custom built-in reception areas, and a new library, along with restored wood flooring, and new lighting and finishes, reinvigorate the structure into a subtle and elegant space for learning.
