IAAC Self-Fab Housing Competition Entry

Critically considering consumerism and homogenous vehicles of product delivery, this project directly confronts the big box store phenomenon, suggesting dismantling and reusing abandoned big box structures as structure/infill centers for self made housing. A new version of the eco-village, transforming a primary symbol of the dissolution of local culture into an intentional community towards greater self sufficiency. Neighbors supporting neighbors. Barn building. Parking lot lawn gatherings.
